According to the fellow there in the black shirt the old Monsignor's space will be a Mediterranean Bistro, opening in about a month, "closer to June." No Starbucks/Bank/Drug store. Phew!

Olive Garden!
It really would be a perfect Greenpoint location as it is just acroos the street from the McCarren park and on a wide intersection that gets plenty of sunlight. I would be a good idea to incorporate outdoor seating. The previous restaurant seemed to closed in and not inviting.
Can't really see a lot of relief about it not being a Starbuck's, since there's already one of those located just a few blocks north.
