I don't claim to be a history buff or anything, but it does seem a little odd to have the date featured so prominently on what is essentially new. Or is that the address? After poking around for a while I found
a construction photo on Curbed from July 2004. I don't remember the starting point. Is it just this lower corner that was preserved?
The color scheme makes me fear a Pizzeria Uno.
Above, looks like whatever goes here will have a brick oven.
Below is the lobby of the building. There are windows in the back where I can see natural light, so maybe there's a courtyard or something?
