Pardon the harsh light. This is the beginnings of work on the new Goldman Sachs building on West Street next to Ground Zero.
What struck me was that just a block farther north on West Street, there are two other construction sites (on either side of Warren). So in the very near future, the stretch of West Street immediately after the Stuyvesant pedestrian bridge is going to have a radically different feel.
The other site is where the red crane is on the right.
Peripatetic.
