I had read about them, but this was the first time I'd gone to take a look at the astroturf fields on Pier 40.
There's a surreal coliseum quality to it even though the upper deck spectators are just parked cars.
Peripatetic.

Papa and I have stopped to watch the players or rest there several times. They also have very clean bathrooms.
