i think there's some sort of psychological thing where it's ok to stand in a line if you can see the end of it. but a line like the airport where it's just a blob of people makes one more impatient and frustrated. or maybe it's my internal need for order in life.
i think it's about choice. one line is something you choose to be on, the other is forced on you hence a lot more frustrating :)
