Stuck in traffic on the Williamsburg Bridge a few weeks ago I had enough time to pull out the camera for a shot of the LES skyline. The Jack-o-lantern tooth on the left is "Blue."
For some reason I thought the rendering was less literal than this. Is it even possible to see out the windows?

I think it looks great and it's nice to see the neighborhood being developed. I hope there are more to come.

I applaud most of the renovations in the neighboorhood, but the Blue Condo building is simply out of scale with the LES. It is designed by the Bernard Tschumi former Dean at Columbia. Lucky for him the neighborhood isn't as rich as the UES or West Village or this building would never have gotten off the ground. He gets a fail from me, but I assume he took his fee will never visit the hood again. Good riddance.
Unfortunately, the neighbors will be stuck looking at Blue, and worse, stuck with dealing with the UES crowd that buys there.
yeah, sorry, but i think this building looks totally weak. the color blue just doesn't fit in with anything currently existing in the LES. the destruction continues...
