A police officer handed me this on Broadway at Maiden Lane today. The police blotter in the Downtown Express is always full of pick pockets and purses snatched from the backs of chairs. I guess the First Precinct got sick of tourists messing up their crime rates. Still, it seems a little 1985 to be reminded to wear your purse with the the clasp facing in.
