Terror Alert!

Ever heard of the Maritime Protection Act of 2003? Me either. I searched for it, but I haven't found it yet. Today, as the sun set, the skies over New Jersey were clear but storm clouds still hung over the city and the angled orange rays made some great colors on the skyline and in the cloudbank over the Hudson and the harbor. Since I was stuck in Hoboken and by the time I got home the light would be gone, I ran through the train termal to the back where the ferries are and starting taking photos from the dock.

One of the ferry workers came over and told me that what I was doing was illegal -a violation of the Maritime Protection Act of 2003 which says you can't take any pictures of or on docks. To be fair, he was just trying to be helpful and didn't demand to see my photos or that I erase them, he was just letting me know that since 9/11...yadda yadda yadda...totalitarianism is good for us all.

Anyway, if I don't post tomorrow it's because I can't get a wifi signal in Guantanamo.

You see, the gates isn't everything, you can also take some nice pictures with orange in them in Guantanamo. One of the guys will probably want to pose for you. And the wheather is nice in Cuba this time of the year, so that's a plus too. Just make sure the army eventually lets you go, so we can see the result :)
