Radical assist

Radical assist
This is a little hard to see but there was no better way to take the picture. From what I can tell, this is a totally rideable bike. The red glow is because there's a light behind the gas tank, so it doesn't glow on its own. The reason there's a gas tank is that there's a bit of an assist motor on there. So on the right side of the bike the chain runs from the pedals to the rear wheel. On the left side of the bike there's a chain from the little motor to the other side of the rear wheel.

As crazy as the steering looks you can see there's still a basic fork hinge attaching it to the frame. I can't quite tell if the geometry is right to be able to steer it though.

This is in a store window in Soho... something like Mercer between Prince and Houston I think.

    built by a guy who has a little workspace on broome just east of broadway on the north side of the street, just before you get to the parking lot opposite l'orange blue. they're all fullyfunctional
