From 23rd street I could see the mural I'd read about (in the Times?) so I hiked up there for a closer look. This is taken from 31st st.
Here it is closer. A fun mural indeed. What else struck me is that bridge running across the photo. That's the pedestrian bridge they're putting in for the convention so delegates and press can get from the Post Office to the Garden without disrupting traffic.
Of course, that'll be pointless if they end up blocking traffic out of security anyway, but from everything I've read, NYC will not be making the overcompensatory mistakes that were made in Boston.
