






As you can see, the cops aren't really engaged in an emergency. Something I didn't notice until I came home is the woman in the back with her arm in front of her face. When I took the picture I was thinking more about the framing than the subjects so I didn't notice. Clearly she doesn't want to be in my picture. I wish I'd noticed at the time. This is the first time I've seen something like that.

Brilliant set of photos. I guess this is what the NYPD do when they think people need reassuring. There is a saying in the UK that 'there's not point shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.'
