I have a tighter version of this but I think the point is that she's alone on that dark stretch. A little creepy to have the car in the foreground though.

The gate

I took this photo like 20 times thinking the draw of the light from the gate was so powerful. Now I'm not sure it's really so compelling. Are your eyes really looking to that entrance or are they looking down the empty street?

I'm not 100% on this picture but I just finished looking at a whole set of period photos and this is probably one of the better "what we look like now" pictures I have so it's getting the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not sure why I didn't crop this tighter. A little off the bottom and the left seems like it would have suited the whole thing better. I do like that bicycle wheel though. :)
